The Pipe Manager is the radical new solo dance/theatre work by one of Brisbane’s most respected and innovative performing artists.
Told through a rich hybrid of movement, illustration, narration and sound, The Pipe Manager takes a satirical look at how we draw upon our powers of creation and invention in the struggle to maintain control over our destinies both personally and globally.
This uniquely imaginative and inspiring work places the audience inside a live illustrated storybook – where the performer and characters journey their way through a foreboding landscape rich in symbolism and metaphor.
O’Neill has created and directed this new work in collaboration with writer Peter Berkahn, illustrator XTN, sound composer and designer Guy Webster, lighting designer David Walters, and dramaturg Kathryn Kelly, assisted by video production company Jaxzyn, and costume designer Glen Brown.
