For 4 to 10 year olds and their families.

Step into a world of pirates, princesses, demons and giants as Tashi tells of his amazing adventures in his old country. Based on Anna Fienberg’s ever popular book series for emerging readers, the four Imaginary performers bring alive these exciting stories featuring wild and colourful characters such as the Wicked Baron, Chintu the Giant, the Warlord, Princess Sarashina, as well as a host of others including dragons, swans, and tigers. Imaginary Theatre combine elements of storytelling, object theatre, dramatic play and physical theatre, with imaginative design, sound and lighting to create a truly magical theatre experience.

Over 15,000 children, parents and carers have thrilled to these original theatre works since they were first developed as a QUT student theatre project for the 2004 Out of the Box Festival and with repeat seasons at Brisbane Powerhouse (2005) and at South Korea’s Seoul International Picture Book Festival 2005. In 2006 Imaginary Theatre was founded, and since then Tashi has been produced professionally at the 2006 Out of the Box Festival, and in every Powerkidz season at Brisbane Powerhouse since then.

Duration : 70 minutes (no interval) Each story is approximately 25 minutes each, the two stories are sold as one ticket.
