Sven Swenson has worked as an actor in theatre, film, television and radio, and has produced and directed extensively across a broad spectrum of theatrical styles.

Sven self-produced (as Pentimento Productions), wrote and directed the new work, The Truth About Kookaburras, an exploration of contemporary male gender politics in the Sue Benner Theatre as part of the Metro Arts Independents Program in May 2009. The Truth About Kookaburras featured a cast of 19 and was written by Sven during the rehearsal process.  

Sven's latest work The Bitterling premiered at La Boite Indie, Brisbane in 2010 and was awarded a Commendation by the Matilda Committee for Best New Australian work.
